Wall Street has found a major income source in student loan debt and those making money on the backs of this burden are lobbying to keep it so. This expense and burden are dissuading many young Americans from attending college and forcing them to find an alternative to higher education. Will this hurt our nation in the long run? Especially when we consider that those with a higher education earn substantially more in their lifetime while paying more in taxes and using/needing much less government aid?
